Wilma was born on April 24, 1932 to George and Edith Cheney Stoker on the family farm in rural Poweshiek County, Iowa. She attended country school and graduated from Grinnell High School in 1950.
On April 11, 1953, she was united in marriage to Charles Ziegenmeyer in Grinnell. Together they raised three sons; Steven, Daniel and Mathew. Wilma worked at Friendship Manor as a nurse's aide for a few years. She began an exercise class for the physical therapy department at the Mayflower Community and helped residents for over 30 years.
She held a great passion for her flower gardens, baking pies and cake decorating. She enjoyed her adventures to Hawaii, California and England. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wilma is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Ziegenmeyer of Grinnell; three sons, Steven Ziegenmeyer and Daniel (Teresa) Ziegenmeyer, both of Grinnell and Mathew (Carrie) Ziegenmeyer of Richlands, North Carolina; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Clarine Killam, Rose Marie Holman, Helen Bakkie and Doris Anderson all of Des Moines, Iowa; Melvin Stoker, Russell Stoker, Marvin Stoker and Donald Stoker all of Grinnell, Robert Stoker of Cresco, Iowa and Mildred Graham of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Benjamin Ziegenmeyer.
