Wesley Eugene Bennett, 66, of Grinnell, Iowa passed away on September 20, 2026, at his home in Grinnell, Iowa.

Wesley was born on August 31, 1960, in Knoxville, Iowa to Clarence J. and Hazel (Weeks) Bennett.

Wesley worked in several factories including, Janco, Natural Products Inc., as well as Jeldwen throughout his career.

Wesley was a mischievous young boy, always picking on his siblings giving them a hard time. Growing up he liked playing baseball and some basketball through his teen years. He also enjoyed watching boxing and football when they were on. When Wes was with family or friends he would always enjoy some rounds of cribbage or some games of foosball. He also loved playing pinball whether it was on a traditional machine or a video game. Wesley loved music and cruising in his candy-red Camaro. He will be remembered for his self-awareness and his living without regret.

Wesley is survived by his children, Joshua (Laura Armstrong) Bennett, Danielle Bennett, Jesse (Jake Snider & Jake Freeman) Bennett, and Kya (Tyler Skidmore) Hobbs-Bennett, six grandchildren, Veronica, Felix, Juanita, DoraMae, Daphne, and Ezekiel and one great-grandchild, Beau and one on the way!

He is preceded by his parents, Clarence and Hazel, and his brothers, Terry Bennett, Marty Bennett, and Scott Bennett, and great-nephew Bentley Snodgrass.
