Obituary

Warren was born on March 3, 1926, in Tama, Iowa, to Earl and Hazel Coe Dee. He attended rural school near his home and graduated from Grinnell High School with the Class of 1943. In 1945, he entered the armed forces and served with the Army Air Corp at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas. On May 29, 1947, he was married to Margaret Pelisek at the Sheridan Methodist Church. The couple operated a grain and livestock farm in Sheridan Township until his retirement in 1990. Warren was a director on the Malcom Co-op Elevator Board, a former Sheridan Township Assessor, Secretary/Treasurer of the Sheridan Cemetery, and served for over 25 years on the ASCS County Board and was a Past Chairman of that board. He was also a member of the Sheridan Methodist Church and served as the church treasurer and trustee. He enjoyed his family and woodworking. Survivors include his two daughters, Mary Jane (Mark) Brownmiller of Lake Dallas, Texas and Barbara (John) Meek of Bloomington, IL; six grandchildren; and one sister, Earlene Arment of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one son, Larry Dee; two brothers, Neil and Ward Dee; and two sisters, Annabelle Butner and Marilyn Mayo. Memorials may be directed to the Sheridan Methodist Church.
