Obituary

Wanda was born on February 24, 1920, in Astoria, Illinois to Elmer and Daisy Skiles Belville. She graduated from the North Central Bible College in 1943 and became an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God in 1945. On July 23, 1945, she was married to Clifford Gerard in Grinnell. She was a mother and served as a pastor in churches in Mount Ayr, Iowa from 1954 to 1965, in Renault, Illinois from 1965 to 1977 and was a guest pastor following her retirement. In 1979, the couple moved to Grinnell to retire. In April of 2005, she moved to St. Louis to be near her daughter, Sharon Gerard. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Sharon Gerard of St. Louis, Missouri, Philip and Susan Gerard of Phoenix, AZ and Ivan and Kay Gerard of Omaha, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Randy Gerard of Washington, DC, Megan Gerard of Phoenix, AZ and Taylor and Morgan Gerard, both of Omaha, Nebraska; and one sister, Juanita Genseal, of Turlock, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and three sisters.
