Wade Meldrem, 63, of Grinnell, died on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Eagles in Grinnell.

Wade was born the son of Raymond and Donna (VanDraska) Meldrem on August 10, 1959 in Grinnell, Iowa. He was raised in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1977.

Wade resided in Grinnell and worked at area businesses. He was a bartender for many years at Rabbitt's Tavern in Grinnell. His enjoyments were watching sports, especially his favorite team, the Indianapolis Colts, and games shows on TV, and playing in pool league at Rabbitt's Tavern.

Wade is survived by his children, Katie Meldrem and Dillon Meldrem; his grandchildren, Landon Ferneau, Serenity Meldrem, and Lennon Meldrem; his siblings, Steve Meldrem of Grinnell, Debra (Mike) Dvorak of Ruidoso, New Mexico, and Lonnie Meldrem of Grinnell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
