Thomas Wilding Jones, 64, of Grinnell, died on April 15, 2021, at his home of natural causes. No services are planned. Memorials may be designated to the Grinnell Area Mental Health Consortium-JPK Fund, mailed in care of Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112. Tom was born on February 2, 1957, in Grinnell, the son of Alan R. and Jean Lewis Jones. He was raised in Grinnell and was a 1975 graduate of Grinnell High School. He furthered his education at Grinnell College. Tom had lived in Grinnell most of his life. Survivors include his mother, Jean of Grinnell and two siblings, Dave (Kristi) Jones of West Des Moines and Kate (Harry) Koster of Manhattan, New York. He was preceded in death by his father, Alan in 2007.
