Her daughter, Donna L. Van Lancker of Marengo; one son, Gary N. Foster of Osage Beach, Missouri; three grandchildren, Deb Davidson of Marengo, Timothy Foster of Galesburg, Illinois and Tracee Van Arkel of Grinnell; four great grandchildren; one brother, Merne Shaull of Chester, California; and one sister, Nadine Shaull of Ladora, survive her. Her husband; her parents; and one daughter, Marilyn Foster, preceded her in death. She was born on July 30, 1908, in Ladora, Iowa to Joseph and Mildred Wright Shaull. She was raised in the Ladora area and graduated from Ladora High School with the Class of 1926. She also received a teaching certificate from the Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls. On July 5, 1930, she was married to Rex P. Foster. The couple farmed north of Victor until their retirement. They moved into Victor, where she was a member of the New Covenant-United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge. She was past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting. Memorials may be directed to the New Covenant-United Methodist Church of Victor or to the The Believer's Group of Marengo.
