Susan Burrell, 64, of Grinnell, died at her home of natural causes on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

Service arrangements are pending at the Smith Funeral Home and Crematory in Grinnell.

Susan Irene Robison was born the daughter of Leonard Junior Robison and Irene Francis (DeWitt) Robison on July 10, 1961. She was raised in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School with the Class of 1979.

Susan was united in marriage to Donald Burrell and they were blessed with a son, Adam. They resided in Grinnell and Susan was employed at Iowa Telecom, Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance, and Hy-Vee. She also owned and operated a hair salon in Grinnell.

Susan enjoyed attending flea markets and auctions, tending to her tulip garden, socializing and shopping.

Susan is survived by her son, Adam Burrell of Grinnell and his children, Arianna and Evan; and her siblings, Janna Hauersperger of Grinnell and Mike Robison of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Duane Robison.
