Stephanie grew up in Belle Plaine, Iowa and spent time in Edgewood, IA with her father Tim, before moving to the Cedar Rapids area, where she lived and worked her adult life. Steph was fiercely loyal and loved her family and friends with no limits. One always knew where they stood with Stephanie. A protector always, Stephanie had zero tolerance for those who treated others poorly. Stephanie found her true love in her fiancé Reggie, who loved and supported her through all the craziness that was the life of Steph.

Stephanie's greatest love was the love she had for her mom, Sue. Without a doubt, she knew that her mom would be in her corner, good times and bad, this certainty always brought Steph comfort.

Stephanie grew up with two brothers, Timmy and Matt Hoover. As much as they gave her a hard time when they were younger, she was always proud of them and loved being their little sister. The stories she would tell about times with her brothers would bring laughter to all who heard them. Holidays were always sure to pack in some sort of excitement whenever the three of them were together!

Of all the things in her life, Stephanie took the greatest joy in being an aunt to her four nephews, Kai, Eli, Rex, and Jax. She would always brag about all her nephews and loved getting her yearly "tour of lights" during the Christmas season. Her time with them was always precious to her and she cherished every moment with those boys. Auntie Steph will be deeply missed by her nephews.

Stephanie will be remembered as someone who faced struggles head on and was eternally optimistic. Through all the adversity she faced in her life, she never gave up on those that she loved and brought countless smiles to those who knew her.

Stephanie is survived by her mother Sue and her husband Tim Gorsh, her father Tim and his wife Diane Hoover, brother Timmy, his wife Jodi and their two sons Kai and Eli, brother Matt, his wife Suzy and their two sons Rex and Jax. Stephanie also had multiple step siblings, Andrea and Chad Gorsh, and Adam and Lance Lake.

Steph is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ray and Jean Gensley; paternal grandparents, Roy and Evelyn Hoover; uncle, Mark Hoover; and her cousins, Jason Weisskopf, Cleta Brundage (Hoover), and Colton Jones.
