Stephan Mark Jones, 69, of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota and formerly of Grinnell, passed away from an unexpected heart attack on June 20, 2022. Steve was born in Grinnell, Iowa on November 4, 1952. He was the third of four children of Doris (Inman) and Harold Jones. He was married to Jodene Kammerer on September 13, 1980. The couple had two daughters Nicole and Stephanie. The marriage ended in 1998 and the couple remained good friends. Steve was a machinist, who worked in the Twin Cities and western suburbs, as well as a distinguished guitarist and lover of music. Steve thrived being with his daughters and grandchildren who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Doris and Harold Jones; two sisters Lynda Jones and Kathi Jones. Steve is survived by his two children, Nicole Jones and Stephanie Jones De Palma; five grandchildren, Alanna, Elise, Alexander, Claire, Gabriel; and sister Karla Jones Mayhew.
