Steph was born December 7, 1973, to Charles and Doretta Pimlott Cowman. She moved to Beaverton, Oregon in 1985 and returned to Grinnell in 1987. She was married to Steve Scott September 19, 1992, in Grinnell where the couple continued making their home. She is survived by her husband, Steve and her parents, Chuck and Doretta Cowman, all of Grinnell. Steph held a love for animals and collecting Beanie Babies. She enjoyed baking and writing poetry and short stories, and listening to music. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Steph Cowman-Scott Memorial Fund for the future of the Poweshiek County Animal Rescue League.
