Shirley McNeish, 93, of Marengo and formerly of Victor, died on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa. The service will be livestreamed on the Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page.

Shirley Ann Tharp was born the daughter of Pearl A. Tharp and Jessie E. (Mickey) Tharp on April 3, 1930 in Centerville, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Centerville.

Shirley was united in marriage to James McNeish on April 4, 1954 in Centerville and to this union was born their children, James and Trudi. The couple raised their family in Centerville and Hartwick, Iowa respectively and Shirley was a homemaker. Following the death of her husband in 1990, she moved to Victor. She was a longtime member of the Victor Baptist Church.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Trudi McNeish of Marengo; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, James McNeish.
