Sherri was born on September 29, 1963, in Thornton, Colorado, the daughter of E.J. and Virginia May Brown Robinson. She was raised and educated in Carlsbad, California, and was employed in the restaurant business there. In 1982, she moved to North Richland Hills, Texas prior to moving to Denver in 1983. While in Denver she was employed at Denver International Airport (DIA) and with Toys "R" Us. In 1993, she decided to re-locate to Grinnell to make her home. She worked for 21 years at CIRSI and retired in 2020. She worked part-time at Casey's decorating donuts.

Sherri enjoyed baking, and was known for her cheese cake and beef and noodles. She enjoyed arts and crafts and "diamond art," camping at nearby lakes in Iowa, and riding her Harley-Davidson. She had made several trips to the annual rally in Sturgis. She was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and NASCAR, with Jeff Gordon being her favorite driver. Sherri spent many Sunday afternoons watching football and NASACAR. Most importantly, was her love for her family. She enjoyed all her time with them.

Sherri is survived by her four sisters, Marjorie (Al) Clark of Trenton, Missouri, Donna (Mark) Horton of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Lorie (Stan) Shiver of Grinnell, and Cathy Robinson of Vista, California; her nieces and nephews, Jonna (Cole) German of Grinnell, Ryan (Lisa) Shiver of Grinnell, Vance Gannon, Danya (Mark) Adair, Justin (Stefanie) Thomas, Robin (Mark) Schulte, Jennifer (Aaron) Rhoades, Tommy (Robyn) Mostello, Justin Robinson, Tyler Lamar, and Kaylee Lamar; and her many great-nieces and nephews.
