Samuel Dean Waddell was deeply loved and will always be remembered, though his time on earth was brief. Samuel was carried into the arms of Jesus on December 25, 2025, following complications to pregnancy at 8 weeks and 5 days, leaving an immeasurable imprint on the hearts of his family.

Samuel is cherished by his parents, Kurtis Dean Waddell and Brandy Michelle (Lang) Waddell, and by his sisters, Anna Rose Boyer (Richard) and Ayla Glandon, who will forever hold him close in their hearts. He is also lovingly remembered by his paternal grandparents, James "Jim" Waddell and Melanie Waddell, and his maternal grandparents, William "Joe" Lang and Delores "Dolly" Kinzebach. He was preceded in death by his two angel siblings, Tristan and Nevaeh.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Friends Church in Grinnell, with Pastor Anthony Nieuwsma officiating. A reception with cookies and refreshments will follow the service.

Though he was never held in our arms, Samuel will always be held in our hearts. His life, however short, was meaningful and profoundly loved.
