Russell Marvin Stark, 95, of Grinnell, IA passed peacefully on May 22, 2026, and is now at peace.

Russell was born on April 6, 1931, in Toledo, OH to Percy and Mabel (Schmidt) Stark. Following high school graduation, Russell enlisted in the US Air Force. His career was military and retired after 20 years of service.

Russell married Joan Wilson in England and to this union the couple had three children, Glenn, Barry and Susan. The Starks were an Airforce family and moved several times during Russell's service. Settling in Grinnell in 1966.

He is survived by his wife, Joan, his children, Glenn (Iping) Stark, Susan (Scott) Anderson, daughter-in-law, Terri Stark. Grandchildren, Heather Anderson, Haylee (Joey) Pagliai, Sarah (Kevin) Michaels, Amy (Eric) Van Weelden, Megan (Mike) Jones, John Stark, Leslie (Blake) Keller. His siblings, Jim Stark, Ted Stark, and sister-in-law, Beryl Burkes.

He is preceded in death by his son, Barry Stark, sister, Erma Mangold and parents.
