Robert L. Barker, 80, of Victor, IA passed away October 23, 2024, at Accura Healthcare in Marshalltown, IA.
A service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor, IA. Burial will be held at Victor Memorial cemetery. A luncheon will be held at St. Bridget Catholic Church immediately following the graveside service.
A visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Victor, IA from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, with the family present from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

Robert was born on August 14, 1944, to Forrest "Hill" and Mary Lena (Weisskopf) Barker in Belle Plaine, IA. He graduated from HLV high school with the class of 1963. Robert attended 1 year of college before enlisting in the Army. In the Army, he was an ambulance driver.
On April 22, 1972, Robert was united in marriage to Bonnie Schinckel at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor. To this union the couple had 5 children, Vicki, Brian, Janet, Troy, and Brad.
Robert retired from Amana Refrigeration after 40 years of employment.
Robert's passion was wood working. He could be found in his shop listening to oldies and working on a project. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, and cars, having coffee with friends and telling jokes, going to car shows, and setting up the luminaries for the Old-Fashioned Christmas in Victor each year.
Robert is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his children, Vicki (Brian) York, Brian (Whitney) Barker, Janet (Garrett) Kozik, Troy (Megan) Barker, and Brad (Jennifer) Barker; his grandchildren, Grace York (Garret Bennink), Kayla York, Kora Barker, and Amelia Barker; a brother Jim Barker; and nieces, Julie Jaffe, and Michelle Westerland.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother William Barker.
Family will be present from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
immediately following the graveside service
