Randy Juhl, 59, of Grinnell died Saturday, February 26, 2005, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Juhl will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at the Grinnell Christian Church, with the Rev. Bob Molsberry, pastor of the Grinnell U.C.C.-Congregational and Rev. John Epperson, pastor of the Grinnell Christian Church, officiating. Lorna Lang will play keyboard and vocalist will be Barbara Chitwood. Pallbearers will be Leo Altimeier, Randy Argotsinger, Craig Bern, Jim Brown, Tom Latimer, Dean Longnecker, Jim Pefferman, Stuart Petersen, Jim Schmidt, Terry Schmidt, Dan Staker, and Carter Thomson. A private family burial service will follow Thursday, March 3 at Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell and where the family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions may be directed to Grinnell Regional Hospice. The son of Elvin 'Curly' and Minnie Snittjer Juhl, he was born April 7, 1945, in Waterloo, Iowa. He was raised in Reinbeck and was a 1963 graduate of Reinbeck High School and a 1968 graduate of Iowa State University. He was married to Sandra Larsen June 17, 1967, in Reinbeck. The couple moved to the Des Moines area and he was employed for several years with Ernst & Ernst while living in Johnston, Beaverdale, and Urbandale. The couple later moved to Grinnell in 1972 where he was employed as a C.P.A. with Miracle Recreation and then in 1987 for Miraco. He owned and operated Daso Electrostatic Refinishing, inc. from 1991 to 2004 and also did some accounting work with ASI Sign Systems in the early 1990's. He served on the Ahrens Foundation Board and ASI Board of Advisors, and was a member of the Grinnell Eagles Lodge, Grinnell Booster Club, and Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. Survivors include his wife, Sandy of Grinnell; three children, Jason Juhl and his wife, Sarah of Edmonds, Oklahoma, Jackie Harris and her husband, Dave of Grinnell, and Jamie Juhl and her fianc', Dan Kirby of Waterloo, Iowa; his father, Elvin 'Curly' of Reinbeck; and two grandchildren, Clayton and Macy Harris of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by his mother.
