Obituary

Memorials in Paul's name may be designated to the Westfield Cemetery Association or to the Drake Community Library, sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112. Paul was born the son of Paul and Doris Losey Krumm on August 6, 1943 in Grinnell, Iowa. He was raised in Grinnell and he graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1961. He then attended the Stone-Camryn School of Ballet in Chicago, Illinois. Paul had a special love for the arts, including art history, theatre, opera, dance, and reading; the most important was music. He had a great tenor singing voice and he was actively involved in quartet and performed in high school musicals. He was a professional ballet dancer from 1962 until 1972 for several organizations, including the Phyllis Sabold Company in Highland Park, Illinois, touring all 48 Continental States with that group; and the Ruth Page Chicago Opera Ballet Company, where he performed as a soloist. He also danced at Radio City Music Hall in New York City's Rockefeller Center. Paul's faith was very important to him and he was well educated in several different faiths. Paul is survived by his sister, Karen (Clark) Weaver of Grinnell; his nephew and nieces, Mark T. Weaver of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Michelle Weaver of Dallas, Texas; and Melanie (Jamie) Smith; grandnephew Jackson, and grandniece Margaret Smith, also of Dallas, Texas. Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
