Patricia "Pat" Lee Hodgson, passed away on July 28, 2024, at UnityPoint - Grinnell Regional Medical Center, in Grinnell, Iowa, at the age of 67. Born on March 17, 1957, in Mount Holly, New Jersey, the daughter of Philip Oscar and Phyllis Virginia (Horner) Smith.

Pat graduated from Lenape High School in Medford, New Jersey. She spent a significant part of her career as a manager at Casey's General Store in Grinnell, where she dedicated 23 years before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, and playing slots at Mesqwaki Casino, but above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Pat leaves behind her family: significant other, Bruce Hodgson; children, Keith Horner, and Kenneth Horner (Amy); siblings, Sharon Lynn Smith, Philip Oscar Smith, Jr. (Jeanne), Mark Jeffrey Smith (Minnie), and Sue Allen (Mark); niece, Kierstin Larson and her son, Azreal Larson. She was a cherished grandmother to Zander Horner and an aunt and great-aunt to many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who she considered her own. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth Hodgson, and son Brian Horner.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grinnell Eagles. Burial will take place at a later date at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom, Iowa.
