Myrtle Mary McGrath was born to Earl and Myrtle (Utley) McGrath on September 24, 1932, in Boone, Iowa. At the age of six, she moved with her family to Conroy, Iowa, where she was raised and graduated from Conroy High School with the Class of 1950. She continued her education at the University of Iowa.

On September 14, 1957, Myrtle was united in marriage to Howard Robinson in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In 1958, the couple made their home in Victor. Myrtle worked at DeLong Sportswear in Grinnell and Amana Refrigeration before beginning a 22-year career as a cook at HLV High School in Victor, where she became a familiar and caring presence to many students and staff.

Myrtle was a devoted member of the Victor United Methodist Church and the Victor American Legion Auxiliary. Her faith was steadfast, and she found her greatest joy in the comfort and closeness of her family. She also enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time tending to her flowers and garden.

Myrtle will be remembered for her quiet strength, her dedication to her family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness throughout her life.

Myrtle is survived by her sons, Dennis (Joan) Robinson and Douglas (Sandy Waddill) Robinson, both of Victor; her grandchildren, Blake (Ashley) Robinson and their daughter, Everly, and Lauren (Tony) Robino and their daughter, Soleia.
