Mike was born the son of Steven Clare Haugsted and Joyce Renee (See) Haugsted on September 10, 1978, in Iowa City, Iowa. He was raised in Grinnell, Iowa, until the age of 12, and later in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he graduated from Marion High School with the Class of 1998.

Mike was a longtime and dedicated employee of Walgreens in Cedar Rapids, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.

Family was most important to Mike. He cherished time spent visiting with his cousins, attending family birthday celebrations, and making trips to Oregon to visit his sister, Jacy, and her son, Geovanny. He was an avid collector of Hot Wheels cars and had a passion for automobiles, which was reflected in his enjoyment of car shows and flea markets.

Mike was also a true food enthusiast. He loved trying new restaurants and food trucks, exploring different cuisines, and creating his own unique dishes. He especially enjoyed attending the Iowa State Fair and experiencing all it had to offer.

Above all, Mike was known for his kindness and willingness to help others. He was always ready to lend a hand and will be remembered for his generous spirit and love for his family.

Mike is survived by his parents, Steve and Joyce Haugsted of Cedar Rapids; his brother, Joey (Nikki Koch, Maddyson Koch) Haugsted of West Branch, IA; his sister, Jacy Saucedo of Portland, OR and her son, Geovanny; and his best friend

and roommate Tom Burns of Cedar Rapids, and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
