Mary Jo Dodge was born on October 14, 1919, in Denver, Colorado to William H. and Josephine Dearstyne. She was raised in Colorado and graduated from the East High School in 1937. She attended the University of Colorado for two years. On July 7, 1944, she married Robert H. Dodge in Denver. The couple lived in Denver until Robert's retirement in 1985. In 1988 the couple moved to the Mayflower in Grinnell. She attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Grinnell. She is survived by her three daughters; Leslie Czechowski of McMurray, PA, Holly Hollister Dodge of New York, NY, and Stephanie Dodge of Sacramento, CA; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Memorials may be directed to the Mayflower Home Human Needs Fund.
