Marvin was born on June 12, 1926 on the family farm south of Victor to George and Rose Marie Eggert Brandt. He was raised on the family farm and attended rural school. On May 12, 1945, he was married to Lucille Robinson in Norway, Iowa. The couple operated a grain and livestock farm south of Victor. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching Lawrence Welk programs and going for walks. Survivors include his four children, Ronald (Roxanne) Brandt of Mason, Ohio, Richard (Diane) Brandt of Strawberry Point, IA, Dan (Goldie) Brandt of Belle Plaine, IA and David Brandt of Prairie Du Chien, WS.; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one sister, Mildred Marie Buscher. A memorial fund in his name will be established.
