Mark William Innis , 63 , passed away on January 15, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines . Born and raised in Grinnell , he graduated Grinnell High School in 1979. He was a member of Grinnell Friends Church. He enjoyed listening to music at home with his loyal feline companion , Spunker. He loved Elvis and was an avid collector of many different things. He also liked to "stretch his legs" by going for walks downtown to visit his favorite stores Rummaging Around and the Vinyl Stop , stopping to chat to everyone he knew along the way. He is survived by his sister, Lisa Ross, his nephew, Christopher Weant and his nieces Johannah, Sarah , and Melissa Hass . He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sally Innis and sister, Mary Hass.
