Mark Allen Dean, II, of Grinnell and formerly of Big Rapids, Michigan, unexpectedly went to join our Lord on July 21, 2018. A memorial service is planned at a later date. Memorial contributions may be designated to the Mark A. Dean, II, Memorial Fund. Mark was born on September 5, 1996, in Big Rapids, Michigan, the son of Mark Allen Dean and Melissa Jean Roggow. He was raised in Big Rapids and attended school there. He moved to Grinnell several months ago with the love of his life, Jessica Hazel and was employed in sales at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Mark enjoyed hunting, working on his truck, mud runs, spending time with his dog, Diesel and being a positive role model for his siblings. He is survived by his father, Mark and step-mom, Ilsa Dean; his mother, Melissa Dean; two sisters, Melanie Dean and her fiancé, Angel Chiquito and their son, Colton Dean and Alex Lewis; six brothers, Marshal Dean, Mason Dean, Jamison Dean, Liam Dean, Kaleb Lewis, and Logan Lewis; his grandparents, Violet and David Slater, Debbie and Melvin Roggow, Thomas and Belinda Welch; his great-grandmother, Marianne Spedoski; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. John and Carol Dean. Mark will be missed greatly and left a positive imprint on everyone he met. Mark was a happy, funny, outgoing son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend.
