Marjorie was born on February 23, 1918, in the settlement of Turner near Grinnell, Iowa. The family moved to Leon, Iowa and she attended the Brush College School.
On August 27, 1938, she was married to Fred Heinle in Princeton, Missouri. The couple lived in Grinnell, where she was a homemaker and babysitter for several area families. She also worked in the food service of Grinnell College until her retirement. In 2003, she moved to Liscomb and she has resided at Villa del Sol in Marshalltown since May of 2010.
Marjorie enjoyed shopping trips, baking, playing cards and collecting salt and pepper dispensers. Her main mission in life was caring for and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Eugene Heinle and Raye (Louann) Heinle, both of Laurel, Faye (Richard) Niedermann of Gilman and Betsy (Carl) Scott of Liscomb; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Paul Heinle of Marshalltown; and two sisters-in-law, Velma Heinle of Port Angeles, Washington and Shirley Heinle of Oskaloosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Fay, Clarence and Manly Lillie; and two sisters, Marie Adair and Lenna Belle Stout.

A luncheon reception with the family will be held following the graveside service at the Grinnell Elks Lodge.
