Obituary

Marion was born the daughter of Dr. Ralph and Mary Almond Dutton on December 4, 1915, in Malvern, Iowa. She graduated from Strawberry Point High School and received her post-secondary education from Lenox College in Hopkington, Iowa, and Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, and did graduate work at the University of Iowa. Marion was united in marriage to Harland Muller on August 18, 1938, at the First United Methodist Church in Strawberry Point, Iowa. To this union were born their children Kirk and Harleen. She taught Home Economics for thirty-one years at Lisbon, Miles, Garnavillo, Ladora, Elkader, Hartwick, HLV, and DRM schools. She retained her membership at the First United Methodist Church in Strawberry Point, Iowa. She was a member of several local, state and national teachers associations, the Order of Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma, the Rebecca's, the Federated Women's Club, the Victor Women's Club, and the Breakfast Club of Bradenton, Florida. Marion in survived by her daughter Harleen (Michael) Bott of Williamsburg, Iowa, and her daughter-in-law Sheryl Muller of Beaumont, Texas; her grandchildren, Janelle Roberts, Justin Bott, Trent Muller and Greg Muller; her great grandchildren, Samuel and Benjamin Roberts; and her sister-in-law, Maxine Fetzer of Victor, Iowa. Marion was ninety years of age and was preceded in death by her parents; her son Kirk Muller on December 29, 2003; and her brother Ralph A. Dutton in 1965. Memorials may be directed to the Victor Baptist Church.
