Obituary

Memorials: Marilyn K. Wilson Memorial Fund, PO BOX 368, Grinnell, IA 50112. Proceeds will benefit Grinnell Regional Hospice and the American Diabetes Foundation. Marilyn was born the youngest of four children to George and Mable (Lane) Green in Iowa City, Iowa. She was raised in Lamoni, Iowa and she graduated from Lamoni High School with the class of 1958. She was united in marriage to Leo Wilson on February 27, 1958 in Bethany, Missouri. She was a homemaker and later she worked at DeLong Sportswear in Grinnell as a seamstress. Marilyn's family was her life and she dearly loved her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed making rosettes for her family during the holidays. She held a special love for animals, especially dogs. Her other talent was making crafts, which included oil paintings and doodling. Marilyn is survived by her sons, Ron (Sheri) Wilson of Grinnell and Tom (Margaret) Wilson of Grinnell; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her brother, Donald Green of Evansville, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo Wilson in 1983; and her sisters, Mary Jane Todd and Roberta Melton.
