Marilyn (Millgate) Peery, 83, of Grinnell, died on June 28, 2023, at her home southwest of Grinnell.

Her cremated remains will be scattered on the family farm.

Marilyn Leona Millgate was born the daughter of Oliver and Inez (Breeden) Millgate on August 10, 1939 in Grinnell, Iowa. She was raised on the family farm southwest of Grinnell and received her education at Grinnell Community Schools. She graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1957.

Following her education, Marilyn was employed at Pedersen and Schild Law Office in Grinnell. She was united in marriage to Donald Peery in June of 1974 and the couple later divorced. She was later employed at Roland and Ruchotzke CPA in Grinnell.

Marilyn enjoyed the tranquility and peace of living on the family farm, especially the companionship of her cats. Her enjoyments were watching college basketball and football on TV and visiting her cousins on Labor Day weekend.

Marilyn is survived by her cousins and was preceded in death by her parents.
