Marilyn Kay (Graham) Meredith was born on December 20, 1931, in Sully, Iowa to Ernest Arbor Graham and Jennie Irene (Brand) Graham. She graduated from Lynnville High School in 1949.
One June 30, 1949, she was united in marriage to Ervin Russell Meredith at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Marilyn and Ervin farmed north of Lynnville until moving north of Grinnell in 1961. They moved into Grinnell in 1986, after retiring from farming. Marilyn held various jobs in the restaurant and retail business throughout her life.
Marilyn was a member of the Lynnville Friends Church and later became a member of the First Friends Church in Grinnell. Marilyn was very active in the Christian Education Department, where she served as a Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher.
Those left to honor Marilyn's memory are four daughters, Shirley (Gary) Milburn of Grinnell, Debbie (Steve) Fath of Goshen, Indiana, Teresa (Don) Loops of Des Moines, Iowa, and Christy (Paul) Berkenbosch of Adel, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren; and 5 step great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Graham in 1990; mother, Irene Graham in 2004; husband, Ervin Meredith in 2003; and brother, Norman Graham in 1987.
