Obituary

Margaret was born on February 19, 1922, near Montezuma, Iowa, to Charles and Mary Henry Bryan. She moved to Grinnell as a young girl and graduated from Grinnell High School. On March 1, 1942, she was married to Robert W. Osborn at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple lived in Grinnell and she was employed at Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company, DeLong's Sportswear Outlet Store and in the office of Dr. John DeMeulenaere. But most of all, she was proud to be a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Grinnell and she enjoyed traveling, writing poetry and beauty of God's nature. She was also an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Cubs. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Mary Ann Osborn of Cedar Rapids; and four sisters, Hazel Brim, Ruth Mithelman and Clara Halstead, all of Grinnell and Roberta 'Sally' Todd of Polson, Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one sister, Bessie Wright; and five brothers, William 'Abe', Robert, Roy, Ray and Alvin Bryan. Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church in Grinnell.
