Margaret was born on November 4, 1916, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Ted and Jean Adams. She was raised in Des Moines and graduated at the top of her class from East High School in 1936. She traveled through Scotland and Europe just before the outbreak of World War II. During the war she lived in Des Moines and worked for the Meredith Publishing Company. She later worked for United Airlines in Des Moines, where she "did it all" except fly the airplanes. She met Paul Brink on a blind date and on August 17, 1946, they were united in marriage. The couple lived in Grinnell, Iowa and lovingly raised two sons, John and Stephen. Margaret owned and operated a gift shop and had served as President of the League of Women's Voters and the Grinnell Business and Professional Women's Association. She was also a lifelong Christian Scientist. Survivors include her two sons and their spouses, John and Phyllis Brink of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Stephen and Susan Brink of Mahtomedi, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Zenia, Desirae, Katie and Jeff; and her brother, John Adams of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Margaret died on November 12, 2005, at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, Minnesota. She was 89 years of age, and she was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
