Lucille Simpson, 98, of Toledo died on Wednesday, December 22, at Premier Estates of Toledo.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 27th at the Smith Funeral Home in Victor. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at Hartwick Cemetery.

Lucille was born on October 9, 1923, the daughter of Elmer and Edith (VanFassen) Ladely in Devils Lake, North Dakota. She was raised in the Montezuma and Brooklyn area and attended Brooklyn High School.
On August 29, 1941 Lucille was united in marriage to Chester Willis Simpson, Sr. in Lancaster, Missouri. To this union were born six children: Larry, Junior, Jim, Bobby, Rick and Alicia. Lucille raised her family in Hartwick before moving to Toledo where she has resided since. Following Chet's death in 1978, Lucille found companionship in Manus Cline.
Lucille was a homemaker and a past member of the Hartwick Congregational church. She was an animal lover of all kinds, especially dogs. She enjoyed crafts and visits with her twin sister where they would make dolls and quilts together. She also enjoyed to dance.
Lucille is survived by her children- Larry (Eve) Simpson of Toledo, Junior (Mary) Simpson of Hartwick, Jim (Kay) Simpson of Victor, Bobby Simpson of Marshalltown, Rick (Joni) Simpson of Toledo and Alicia (Ron) Smith of Glenn Ville, Minnesota; grandchildren- Bud Simpson, Tina Robinson, Kim Meeks, Matt Simpson, Corey Simpson, Jodi Hall, Amy Pebler, Dirk Simpson, Joe Casey, Josh Casey, Rian Simpson, Tara Coats, and Taran Jack; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, in 1978; grandson, Jeremy Simpson; sisters, Luetta Thompson and Virgina McVay; brothers, Laverne and Marion Ladely and longtime companion Manus Cline.
