Lucille I. Carmer, age 60 of Grinnell and formerly of Carroll, Iowa, died on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Grinnell Health Care Center. A private family graveside service will be held. Memorials may be designated to the Lucille Carmer Memorial Fund, mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112. Lucille Irene Carmer was born the daughter of Charles Arthur Carmer and Charlene Alberta (Stanley) Carmer on October 27, 1957 in Iowa City, Iowa. Lucy resided in Marshalltown, Grinnell and Carroll respectively. Her enjoyments were bowling, solving puzzles, and playing cards. She dearly loved her family and held a special love for animals, especially her cats and dogs. Lucy is survived by her siblings, Sharon Liger of Liscomb, Iowa, Kenny (Karie) Carmer of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Dwayne (Renee) Carmer of Oskaloosa, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents.
