Linda J. Mullins, age 67, of Grinnell, died on Friday, December 30, 2016, at her home. A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2016, at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell with Rev. John Epperson officiating. Memorials may be designated to the Linda Mullins Memorial Fund and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112. Linda Joann Mullins was born the daughter of James and Clarice (Wittenburg) Mullins on Friday, March 25, 1949, in Grinnell, Iowa. She was raised in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1967. Linda then began her longtime career of 40 years at Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance. Through the years, she was promoted to supervisor of the mail department. Linda had a passion for interior designing and decorating. She was a very talented artist, who enjoyed making oil paintings. Her other enjoyments included camping and watching old TV shows, especially MacGyver. Linda is survived by her sister, Cindy (John) Little of Grinnell; brother, Scott (Susan) Mullins of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
