Linda Lee Bever, 52, died August 3, 2008 at Cheney Reservoir in Kansas. She was born July 14, 1956, in Grinnell, Iowa the daughter of William and Josie Perkins Asberry. She graduated from Grinnell High School and Hutchinson Community College. She lived in Hutchinson since 1985. She had been employed at the Hutchinson SRS Office, South Hutchinson for almost 19 years, serving as an administrative specialist for the last 16 years. On May 25, 1992, she married Dale E. Bever in Hutchinson. He died August 3, 2008. Survivors include a son, Rodney Geist and wife, Saluda, of Salina, a daughter Amy Lafayette and husband, Wayne, of Hutchinson; four brothers, Lonnie Asberry and Dwight Asberry of Grinnell, Oliver Asberry of New York and Jimmie Asberry of Wichita; a sister, Cheryl Lingenfelter of Kingman; and four grandchildren, Rodney Geist, Jr., Dayton Geist, London Lafayette and Trenton Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held at 10 am on Friday, August 8, 2008 at The Father's House in Hutchinson. Burial was in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
