Joyce Stier, 70, of Grinnell died on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at UnityPoint Grinnell Regional Medical Center. A private family interment will be held. Joyce Anne Herbrandt was born the daughter of Ray and Patricia (Lane) Herbrandt on March 21, 1951 in Grinnell, Iowa. She was raised in Kellogg and Grinnell, and graduated from Grinnell High School. Joyce lived in Grinnell all of her life and she was employed at Wolverine and CertainTeed for many years. She later worked as a CNA at the Mayflower Community and Windsor Manor in Grinnell. Her enjoyments were watching old movies on TV, enjoying a glass of wine, and spending time with her grandsons. She will be remembered as a hard-worker and a loving and caring grandmother. Joyce is survived by her son, James Breeden of Grinnell and her two grandsons, Chance and Daniel Breeden of Grinnell. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ron Herbrandt; and her sister, Ruth Graff.
