John H.Van Renterghem, 67, of Brooklyn, Iowa, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

John Van Renterghem was born the son of Fred and Lois Van Renterghem on December 9, 1955, in Brooklyn, Iowa. He was raised on the family farm in Brooklyn, where he later resided after remodeling with his wife, Vicki.

John was united in marriage to Vicki Mann on May 8, 1999, at the Cumming's Farm Home in Malcom, Iowa. They lived in town in Brooklyn where they later moved to the family farm.

John enjoyed life on the farm and raising his cattle. He also enjoyed attending car shows and cruises with his wife in his 1969 Camaro Z28. He loved a good game of rolle bolle as well with friends and competitors.

John is survived by his wife, Vicki of Brooklyn; stepdaughter, Niki Stuart (Zach) of Hudson; two grandchildren, Payton and Makenzie Stuart of Hudson; sister-in-law Joyce Van Renterghem of Brooklyn; nephew Phillip Van Renterghem of Malcom; niece, Deb Inman (Rick) of Malcom; brother-in-law, Marty Cummings (Joy) of Malcom; sister-in-law, Theresa Wells (Brent) of Malcom and many more relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Layard Van Renterghem and stepson, Luke Mann.
