Jimmy Lloyd Asberry, 59, of Wichita, KS and formerly of Grinnell, IA, died on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. A private burial is planned for a later date at Lower Blue Point Cemetery south of Grinnell. Jimmy was born on August 25, 1961, the son of William D. and Josie Criswell Asberry. He grew up in the Grinnell area and attended school at, Lynnville-Sully and Grinnell-Newburg. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, working on cars and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his son Dustin Asberry of Monticello, Kentucky; one brother Lonnie (Darla) Asberry of Malcom; sister-in-law's Marge Asberry of Castile, New York and Sharon Asberry of Grinnell. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; William Oliver Asberry, Dwight Asberry, Linda Bever, and Cheryl Lingenfelter. Jimmy was a loving and caring individual with a big heart. He will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure to call him friend.
