Jill Foster, 66, of Grinnell, died on Monday, June 23, 2025, at UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Smith Funeral Home and Crematory was entrusted with her cremation and no services will be held.

Jill May Foster was born January 31, 1959 in Grinnell to Charles Robert and Peggy Joyce Foster. She was raised in the Grinnell area, and attended Grinnell-Newburg Schools.

Jill loved to spend time at the farm and go shopping with her mother. She was an excellent baker, and made wonderful birthday cakes for her nephews. Jill also loved animals, and often took in any stray dog that arrived at the farm.

Jill was preceded in death by her mother and father, siblings Bobby, Jane, Mark, and Leslie, and brother-in-law Mike Schulz. Survivors include her sister Linda Schulz of Arizona, Joyce Foster of Grinnell, brother Jeff (Stacia) Foster of Gilman,

and nephews Timothy Schulz, Cameron and Kincaid Foster and niece Crystal (Schulz) Maldonado.
