Jerry was born on July 29, 1946, in Grinnell, Iowa. He was raised in Grinnell and graduated from Grinnell High School. He served hoorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. After the war he settled in San Jose, California and worked in the construction industry. He belonged to the Carpenters Union until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and collecting guns. He is survived by his four brothers and their families, Larry and Rose Osland of Peoria, AZ, Gary and Rhea Osland of Laurel, IA, Terry and Sherry Osland of Colfax, IA and Tom and Jane Osland of Lawrence, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Celma Hudson Osland; one brother, Dickey;and two sisters, Mary and Beverly.
