Hope Exline-Ivory, 53, of Victor, died on March 30, 2021, at her home of natural causes.
A celebration of life gathering with her family will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 2nd, at the Smith Funeral Home in Victor.
Hope was born on August 30, 1967, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Duane Firman and Peggy Gorsch Edmundson McBeth. She was raised in Martinsburg and was a 1985 graduate of Pekin High School. She received an RN degree at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.
On September 10, 2016, she was united in marriage with Kevin Michael Ivory, in Albany, Illinois.
Hope lived most of her life in Victor and devoted her life to helping others. She was employed for many years in the Iowa City area at various clinics and with hospice organizations. She knew the value of good health care, long hours, and the rewards of dedicating her time for such needs. She understood kindness!
Hope loved making things, especially designing jewelry, and crocheting. She was pretty crafty and was happiest when working with her hands. She was wildly intelligent, a very good cook, and loved flowers, peonies were her favorite flower, and held a love for nature.
Hope is survived by her husband, Kevin of Victor; four children, Mary Oyer of Houston, Texas, Emily Allen of Williamsburg, Jacob Exline of Victor and Benjamin Toyne, serving in the U.S. Navy, currently stationed in Rhode Island; three grandchildren, Nicole Oyer, Adalynn Henry and Maverick Exline; and one brother, Jason McBeth of Martinsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents.
