George 80, passed away August 19, 2010. The former Des Moines resident grew up in Victor, Iowa. He accomplished many things in his life. He was a marine Corp, farmed near Victor area for 15 years, worked for Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids. He had many great years with his wife Norma owning a Dairy Queen in West Des Moines. He and his wife of over 50 years retired to Cape Coral, Florida. Norma passed away December 3, 2006. George spent the last six months in kansas to be near his children; Mark Dusterhoft of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Julie (Jim) Kretzschmar of Iowa City, Iowa, Tom (Ruth)Dusterhoft of Olathe, Kansas, his grand children Chad, Britt, Kirsten, and Ryan. He will be laid to rest with his wife and their son Ron in Victor, Iowa. It was his last wish to have a service for Norma and himself togather.
