Gary Weyrauch, 74 of Grinnell, Iowa died on March 3, 2025 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

A private graveside service will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Gary Wayne Weyrauch was born in Grinnell, IA on August 30, 1950 to Wells and Ilene (Pickhardt) Weyrauch. He was raised in Grinnell and he graduated from Grinnell High School in 1968.

Gary worked at his family's greenhouse, Weyrauch Flower Center until it's closing. He did seasonal work at many area factories and construction companies to have time to make fresh evergreen garland and wreaths for sale. Gary is probably best known for his addition to the Grinnell farmers market, selling concrete statues and plants. In addition to that, he will be remembered as the man who resembled Santa and delivered to the Des Moines Register for over two decades.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Neal. He has no known surviving relatives but will be missed by his Des Moines Register customers and many others in the community.
