Obituary

Frosty earned the Distinguished Flying Cross while serving as a fighter pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. He served first in the Aleutian Islands before supporting the D-Day Invasion into France. In November of 1944, his Spitfire plane was shot down and he spent the last six months of the war in a POW camp in Germany. Frosty is survived by his children, Robert (Louise) Young of Savage, MN, Richard (Robin) Young of Grinnell, and Lori (Jeff) Young of San Francisco, CA; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to the Forrest B. Young Memorial Fund to benefit organizations of the family's choice.
