Esther M. Huedepohl, 85 of Brooklyn, Iowa passed away peacefully at her home on October 29, 2024.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 am on November 2, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 am

at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grinnell, Iowa. Esther will be laid to rest at the Victor Memorial Cemetery

following the service. A luncheon will be served at the Victor American Legion following the graveside

service.

Esther was born on November 16, 1938 to Lester Wesley Bizek and Esther Helen Bizek of Cedar Rapids,

Iowa. After graduating from high school Esther married Richard Huedepohl of Brooklyn, Iowa in 1961.

Esther and Richard built a life together on the family farm and raised four children: Marcia, Wayne, Steve

and Dwight.

Throughout her life, Esther took pride in baking, gardening and sewing. She especially enjoyed baking

for the Farmer's Market in Grinnell. Esther's customers would line up to buy her wonderful breads, rolls, pies

and kolaches.

Esther loved music and was a talented pianist. She was a dedicated organist for Immanuel Lutheran

from 1980-2023. Esther was very active in her church and loved playing music for the children's

Christmas program. Esther was also involved in her community and worked for many years at BGM

Elementary.

Esther was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her spirit brought joy to so many.

Esther is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, sons, Dwight and Wayne, and brother,

Lester. Esther is survived by daughter, Marcia (James Plough), son, Steve (Amy Gensley), and

grandson, Dylan Limas.
