Dorothy F. Hauck, of Kellogg, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at UnityPoint Grinnell Regional Medical Center.
A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Dorothy was born June 16, 1930, in Butler, Missouri to Samuel Irl and Anna Elizabeth (Richmiller) Sweet. She was one of six siblings.
On February 5, 1949, she married Charles William Hauck in Des Moines, Iowa. The couple lived in Winterset, Fort Madison, West Des Moines and later moved to a farm near Booneville, Iowa. Following Charles' retirement in 1983, they lived in Minnesota, Kentucky and Missouri prior to moving to Grinnell in 1997. Dorothy worked as a church secretary for the United Methodist church in Fort Madison and West Des Moines for 27 years
Dorothy enjoyed being outdoors. She liked weeding her flower beds, fishing with family, mushroom hunting with her oldest sister, feeding birds and wild animals. She was also known for her many pets including birds, dogs, cats and a monkey. Family was very important to Dorothy as she would spend hours talking on the phone with her oldest sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon K. (Gary) McDonald of Kellogg, Iowa; son, Charles W. (Connie) Hauck of rural New Virginia, Iowa; six grandchildren, many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and her sister, Marjorie Boyd of St. Charles, Iowa.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Charles Hauck, and 4 siblings.
