Donna Jean (Dow) (Wallis) Miller, 92, of Orlando, FL and formerly of Grinnell, died Friday, December 21, 2018 under hospice care at the Mayflower Retirement Community in Winter Park, FL. A memorial service has been scheduled for 11:30 am, Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. Interment will be at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell following the service. Donna was born September 18, 1926 to Dr. and Mrs. D V Dow of Grinnell, IA. She graduated from Grinnell High School and was married to Harold Eugene Wallis, also from Grinnell, in 1946 till 1970. The family lived on a farm in Grinnell until 1962 when they moved to Denver, CO. Donna was employed by IBM until her retirement. Donna married Dick Miller in 1971 and was widowed on March, 29, 2010. Her life took her to Indianapolis, IN; Columbus, OH and finally to Winter Springs, FL where she retired. Donna is survived by her children Linda Roggasch, Richard (Sherry) Eugene Wallis, Robert (Donna) Allen Wallis, Roger (Ellen) Dale Wallis, her step-daughter Lee Dee Jo Stevens, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Buddy Dow, first husband Harold Eugene Wallis, and second husband Donald Richard (Dick) Miller.
