Donald Charles Barrett, 60, of Grinnell and formerly of Parkersburg, died on April 2, 2020, at his home. Services will be held at a later date. Don was born on March 10, 1960, in Waterloo, the son of Charles S. and Bernice Merritt Barrett. He was raised in Parkersburg and was a 1978 graduate of Parkersburg High School. Don was employed at numerous jobs and most recently in Grinnell where he was employed with PurFoods He enjoyed working out, riding his bicycle, and visiting different casinos. Survivors include his siblings, Patricia Thoma (Bruce Fried) of Salem, Oregon, Mary (David) Brouwer of Parkersburg, Jenee Simon of Parkersburg, Dale Barrett of Morrison, and Raymond (Paulette) Barrett of Parkersburg; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles in 1991, his mother, Bernice in 2010; a brother-in-law, Russell Simon in 2016; and a sister-in-law, Marcia Barrett.
