Christopher Alan Sears, 56, of Kellogg, IA passed away April 13, 2024 at his home.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 4 pm at the Grinnell Eagles Club.

Chris was born on December 3, 1967 in Grinnell to Edgar Alvin and Shirley Anne (Vance) Sears. He was one of six siblings that grew up in Grinnell. He graduated from Grinnell High School with the class of 1985. Following high school, Chris received a technical degree.

Chris enjoyed an ice-cold beer while attending races at Iowa Speedway, American Flat Track Races at the Springfield Mile in Illinois, at concerts and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle around the country, and was a frequent visitor of Sturgis, South Dakota. He will be remembered as a history buff, and a collector of everything.

Chris is survived by his children, Emily Eickstaedt, and Jake (Jessica) Sears; his siblings, Jim Sears, Pam (Jack) Mongomery, and Jeff (Michelle) Sears; his girlfriend, Sandra Kriegel; and his grand dogs, Tucker, Hank, and Barry.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Shirley, and his brothers, Dave Sears and Dan Sears.
